Thriving In Purpose

Get to know your purpose and how to operate in it at its maximum capacity.

Passion

Passion is the fuel that keeps you going forward in your purpose.

Whatever you are passionate about usually is tied to your purpose.

Passion is a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something.

Questions to ask yourself:

  1. What am I passionate about doing?

  2. How is this serving me? others?

  3. Is this in alignment with God’s word?

Take into consideration...

There are a lot of things we want to do or are good at but they don't align with God’s word.

There are a lot of things we are good at but simply not passionate about it.

Do nothing for merely MONEY- This is the best way to live an unfulfilled life.

Something you can do:

Heart’s Desires

Considering your passions, seek your heart's desires.

9/10 whatever you are passionate about is in your heart.

What is in your heart to do? Start a business, advocate for people, serve people (chef, teacher, event planner), medical care staff, etc.?

--------

Be careful though when answering this question.

One thing we learn when we become believers is the TRUTH that our heart is deceitful. It can be swayed into things you are not even passionate about or you have no business doing.

This is why we pray and ask God that he check the desires in our hearts and that we trade ours for His.

Scripture says... The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jerimiah 17:9-10 NKJV

In the next section, I will help you decipher if your heart's desires are righteous or unrighteous.

Motives Principle (Video)

Scripture says... When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3

So when you plan, pray, and set goals the Biblical principle here is to check your motives. Are you doing this to serve or is this for your own gain?!

This is how you decipher righteousness and unrighteousness.

Let's Work!

Something you can do today: Write down everything you are passionate about and all of your heart's desires. See where these two align. Then, check your motives.
