We need each other more than we can actually grasp. Question is... are you serving in the capacity that you should be?
3 Characters of Servant Heart ♥️
There is a demand on us as women to look after our sister's, wether she be our blood sister or spiritual sister. We have an obligation to serve one another, I truly believe that for each of us BUT sometimes it can be tough.
Some women are reluctant to help another woman because they've been lied on, back stabbed, abused, and just hurt by things done to you by a woman. So I can understand why, you would have hesitation when I say " we have an obligation to serve one another". Trust me, i've been hurt by friends and i've also been the one to hurt friends so I get why you are probably making a face like "whettt 🥴".
But let me tell you why I say this and i'll give you 3 Characters of a Servant Heart ( genuine desire want to "do" for others) that you need to get familiar with in order for you to serve your sisters better.
"Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:12-13 NLT
@coachnaquandra
Ecclesiastes 4:9 (NLT) Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.
1. Forgiving Heart
Forgiveness is one of the hardest and most critical to adapt. And the biggest reason WHY is because God says He will not forgive us if we do not forgive others!
Sometimes we forget that God has requirements on us, just as much as we make our plea's and petitions to Him through prayer... (Food for thought)
Also, if we are able to forgive, we are able to give grace to others as well. Make note that everyone does things differently so we CAN expect to be let down sometimes. We can expect to have hick-ups in our relations with other people, but we have to be able to give them grace in those moments...
For those who are having a tough time forgiving, I suggest that you begin with accessing the trust issues in your life 💡
Key: Forgiveness is not for them.. it's for you!
Adapt this character and you will find yourself able to love your sister's and the good, bad, and ugly that comes with them (don't play, you know you got some ugly parts 👀. I know I do! lol) .
2. Upright Spirit
To have an upright spirit means that you move with integrity and you hold yourself to the standard of God's principles. That looks like you calling yourself out when you doing wrong or made a mistake. That looks like you being accepting to constructive criticism because you are always looking for ways to grow and improve.
This means that you are willing and ready to address your own mess. You are all out of excuses.
When you have adopted this key, you will notice your sisters willing to be vulnerable with you. You will notice how they come to you for your guidance or advice on things because they see the uprightness in you.
Key words: Boundaries & Accountability
3. Love
Love is the only thing that we have now and will carry with us when God calls us home. What good is anything you do if there is no love?!
Check this out...
"If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing."
1 Corinthians 13: 1-3 NLT
I think this scripture speaks of everything we need regarding love.
My question for you is; are you able? and if not, what's stopping you? (Journal prompt)
