3 Boundaries To Protect Your Peace!
A boundary is a mark of limitation. Everything has a breaking point; as a human, you must make sure you know yours and not allow people to push the mark.
Lack of boundaries results in you being misused and abused.
Lack of boundaries leads to people respecting you less.
Lack of boundaries leads to a lack of peace in your life.
Boundary 1: Me Time is MY TIME
Boundary 2: Debbie WILL NOT Get Me Down
Boundary 3: I AM Royalty
Boundary 1: Me Time is MY TIME
This is your time to block at least 30 minutes to 1 hours of your day for YOU! No phone calls, no text messages, and no social media’ing (lol is that a word?). You should do this daily. This is your time to decompress. Pray, journal, dance, eat a good meal, sing, take a nap, watch tv, go for a walk, or do whatever you do to refresh at this time.
This is you taking a moment to show yourself that you care for YOU.
I can only imagine how busy you are during the day, tending to everyone except you! Say this with me “ME TIME IS MY TIME”
Boundary 2: Debbie WILL NOT Get Me Down!
We all have that one or maybe even a few Debbie Downers, we can think of off the top of our heads! These are people you have to distance yourself from. Negativity seeps off one person and onto the next, it's like contagion! You HAVE to stay away or limit your time connected with these people.
Even if it's people close to you, you have to put your peace first!
Boundary 3: I AM ROYALTY
If you don’t know who you are, how can you expect others to treat you? If people see you allow others to step all over you, more people will too. We tend to think only children test boundaries but there are very grown adults who push too.
The best advice concerning people that I've ever gotten is that “people will only do what you allow.”
You are royalty! Treat yourself as such! Don’t just be allowing any and everyone to have pieces of you, invade your private space, or disrupt your me-time.
